Lt. Gov. Reynolds Receives
“Golden Eagle” Award
(DES MOINES) – Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds was awarded the Iowa State Association of Counties’ (ISAC) “Golden Eagle” award during the association’s annual conference in Coralville, Iowa on Nov. 16.
“It is such an honor to be receiving the ‘Golden Eagle’ award,” said Reynolds. “As Lieutenant Governor, I take great pride in traveling throughout the state to talk about the important function that county government plays in providing services to the citizens of Iowa.”
The “Golden Eagle” was created to recognize and honor individuals who have provided extraordinary public service to county government and ISAC. Lt. Gov. Reynolds is the second person to receive the “Golden Eagle” award, following former Story County Supervisor, Jane Halliburton, in 2010.
Award recipients are determined on the basis of leadership within boards and commissions, providing extraordinary services, including professional assistance to counties in training, development of local leadership and advocating for counties and local government.
ISAC is a private, non-profit organization established in 1971.
